ABOUT CORRIGAN

In the 1970's, Jack Corrigan was the owner of Carrot Top, a green grocer in Wilmette, Illinois. Like all other produce retailers, he hand-watered his produce. Jack Corrigan used his experience as a former civil engineer and began to tinker with a system that would water the produce automatically. It took several years to perfect the system, but he persevered. In 1979, Jack Corrigan the "father" of produce misting was granted the first patent for Fresh Produce Preservation. Jack and his son, J. Michael Corrigan, founded The Corrigan Corporation of America in Gurnee, Illinois and began selling the automatic misting system to supermarkets around the nation.

The early challenges began with water quality. In some areas, when they used the system, sediment and minerals in the water left spots and scaly residue. Corrigan's solution was a highly effective reverse osmosis system. Soon after, customizing water treatment and filtration for grocery store chains became our specialty. Corrigan's business expanded internationally, where the water quality differs from place to place. Because of this, we can say that we've solved just about every water problem there is. Today, Corrigan Corporation of America continues to be a leader in innovation, manufacturing, and service in the water treatment industry.

In the last few years, we extended our water treatment expertise to commercial and residential applications, with a great response. Recently, a new division was created to better focus on water treatment in these applications. Emily Corrigan Stavrou, continuing the tradition of a family owned and operated business, heads up the division of Corrigan Water Solutions. Corrigan Water Solutions strives to meet all of the needs of our customers, with personal attention continuing after the sale. Our calling is to deliver high-quality equipment, service, and solutions for your everyday water concerns. As an independent treatment company, we are not obligated to any one manufacturer. This allows us to choose the best available technology to meet the exact needs of our customers.

Corrigan is a member of the GE Platinum Dealer Network and the Water Quality Association (WQA), an organization that sets the standard for the industry. Many of our products are also NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) approved. Our service technicians are all WQA certified, so there is always a knowledgeable person with you every step of the way.
